Pizza Burgers

A few years ago I made burgers, ordered pizza, cut out "bun-sized" pieces and made pizza burgers.  They turned out great, though a bit sloppy.  I made them again this week, making my own mini pizzas for buns. For the pizza I made the dough and used Muir Glen sauce, and fiesta blend cheese.  I also put corn meal on the bottom of the crust.  I used the cheeseburgers Dana had previously made.  They were very good, not as sloppy as the last time.  I feel like they needed more sauce but maybe that will make 'em sloppier?  I'll find out next time...

Cheeseburgers

Dana made cheeseburgers with ground bison, the cheese is cheddar.  I had mine with ketchup, Dijon, red onions, and pickles.  With sweet potato waffle fries and a salad w/ vinaigrette.

Chicken Salad

Dana made chicken salad this week. Some highlights - she used roasted chicken, and there's also celery & almonds.

One of a few sandwiches I had on sourdough bread.

Pizza

Pizza with some help from the kids.  I made my own dough, this time substituting olive oil for butter in the recipe.

Fourth of July Week(end)

I had a chance to get away with the family over the holiday.  Here are a few meals (some parts I cooked) that were enjoyed...

Grilled chicken breast with yellow & red peppers, Parmesan cheese, bow tie pasta, and corn on the cob.  I cooked the chicken and peppers on the grill.  

I got to grill pork tenderloin...

Tacos with guacamole and onions.  Served with carrots, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes.

Went for another taco, with shredded cheese this time...

The next day for lunch with cheddar cheese on a pretzel roll...

We also had chipped beef, I made a biscuit sandwich...

Semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips, a little bit of maple syrup, and I used the super fancy Plugra butter.

Bison Burgers

Dana made bison burgers with cheddar cheese, red onion, ketchup and mustard.  Salad with vinagrette, and pasta with marinara.

Tacos 

A Father's Day feast courtesy of my sister in law Stacey.  Pork loin tacos with guacamole, queso fresco, and shredded monterrey jack.  Also with rice & beans and a salad on the side.  Even better I got to grill the pork loin.
